The National Audubon Society protects birds and their natural habitats throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation. Audubon’s state programs, nature centers, chapters, and partners have an unparalleled wingspan that reaches millions of people each year to inform, inspire, and unite diverse communities in conservation action.
Focus & Mission: BHWT is a UK charity committed to changing the lives of commercial egg-laying hens. They rescue and rehome 60,000 hens each year, finding them caring homes for free range retirement through an impressive network of 46 volunteer let adoption sites. This organization are also proud supporters of the egg industry and work with farmers to effect positive change by implementing safe and effective farming practices.
Focus & Mission: ABC’s strategic approach to conservation has made significant strides to prevent the extinction of endangered birds, conserve bird habitats, reduce top threats to birds, and build an Americas-wide community of bird conservationists. They’ve also compiled an incredibly impressive and comprehensive library of bird profiles across the Americas filled with life history, videos, sound, photos, and conservation information.
